Project Information:
Located within Fellows Garden, The Potting Shed was designed as a sculptural approach to provide storage for the gardeners. The planting process is protracted being located so far away from the glasshouses. By moving the function closer it will allow a more efficient process and improve productivity within the college.
Due to the sensitive nature of the Fellows Gardens, the shed was constructed from Corten steel which will weather over time and roofed in sedum to portray an upturned plant pot. The circular layout responds to the in/out process of repotting the plants before they are moved from one glasshouse to another.
